Château de Clisson: Accessibility
The Château de Clisson has been taking steps to improve the accessibility of its site for people with disabilities so as to ensure greater convenience and comfort for all its visitors.
Access to our sites is free for people with disabilities and the person accompanying them, upon presentation of proof.
For small groups of visitors with disabilities, we can arrange a tour or a suitable theme-based workshop. Bookings obligatory.

Visitors with reduced mobility
Access
The entranceway to the Château de Clisson can be accessed via the château car park (reserved car parking), upon request. Access is via a wooden walkway (distance: approx. 200m).
The main entrance is partially accessible to visitors with reduced mobility.
For visitors who have difficulty walking, portable folding chairs are available at the front desk, upon request.
Visiting the site
The château site is partially accessible to visitors with reduced mobility : steps, moderate to steep slopes, paving stones, rocks, and attractions which are spaced at a distance from each other.
It is advisable to visit the site accompanied. Some seating points or rest areas can be found scattered throughout the grounds.

Regularly scheduled activities (guided tours, family workshops) are partially accessible for visitors with reduced mobility, when accompanied.
Facilitators and guides can adapt the course of visits to suit visitors with reduced mobility.
Visitors with mental or cognitive disabilities

Access to the reception area of the Château de Clisson is accessible to visitors with mental or cognitive disabilities, when accompanied.
A booklet with a map of the site, the opening hours, entrance fees and services and amenities is currently under development.
